One of the most memorable performances of 2012

In yesterdays paper, Jónas Sen music critic, reviews the Icelandic musical scene for the year 2012 and names our concert at Dark Music Days in January as one of the most interesting performances of the year!

In rough translation; “Great choral music! Contemporary music has so far mainly been presented in Iceland at the yearly Dark Music Days Festival, which has has been described as a harvesting festival for Icelandic composers. Many great things were heard this year, not in the least new songs premiered at South Iceland Chamber Choir’s concert conducted by Hilmar Örn Agnarsson. There was experimental music as well as simpler songs. There is obviously great growth in the Icelandic choral scene.”
